Launch of National Pact Carbon Coach
Officially launched on 29 September this year, the Pact Carbon Coach is a new digital commitment and support tool for those who have signed up to the Mission for Energy Transition’s National Pact. The tool was developed in close collaboration with the Principality of Monaco’s Digital Transition Office.
It is a user-friendly, universally accessible tool that aims to encourage more people to sign up, and to boost the National Pact network.
How to use the Pact Carbon Coach
A valuable partner for promoting the adoption of new, more eco-friendly behaviours, the Pact Carbon Coach is first and foremost a support tool, a single point of information for signatories and ‘aspiring signatories’, where they can find everything they need in one place. No sermons, no complex browsing... above all, our teams have sought to ensure that the website is a valuable partner for existing National Pact signatories and those who are keen to sign up to the initiative.
To achieve this goal, the site features a range of content and functionality:
Easier sign-up
For people or organisations interested in signing up to the Pact, the Carbon Coach has all the information they need:
- ability for both individuals and legal entities (businesses, associations, institutions)to sign up to the National Pact quickly and easily from the homepage
- personal carbon footprint calculator
- individual choice of actions to reduce carbon footprint
Support to help people make changes
For those who have already signed up to the National Pact, the Carbon Coach is a daily support tool that aims to boost and energise action in a variety of ways:
- Practical tips: the website includes an Initiatives section which will feature regular updates on best practices and new behaviours to adopt based on initiatives and actions already undertaken by other signatories, both individuals and businesses. It’s a great way to find inspiration for your own actions!
- Challenges: the website also promotes challenges to help people introduce actions gradually, since sudden change is much more difficult to sustain over time. It’s a whole lot easier to make changes while having fun! Personal satisfaction and long-term impact guaranteed!
- Events: regular events on specific topics are planned to support signatories as they take action. Practical workshops, themed events, meetings – we’ve come up with a variety of formats to help you make steady progress in your efforts to reduce your carbon footprint. It is possible to register online.
- Surveys: to get feedback on signatories’ views on specific subjects and consequently better focus our support, based on an improved understanding of our signatories’ concerns, the Pact Carbon Coach website regularly publishes surveys. Please tell us what you think!
