2nd Monaco Week for Waste Reduction

©DR

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) will be held in Monaco for the second time from 21 to 29 November 2020.

The first such week, in 2019, got this event off to a great start, with 60 organisations taking part and 52 actions identified. This year’s event will be quite unique, with many actions moving online.

The theme for the 2020 week is “invisible waste”: waste generated during the design, manufacture, packaging and transport of products to stores, for example, which is invisible to the consumer. Efforts to raise awareness of the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – will still be a focus of the week, however!

Check out what the main players involved in the Principality have got in store for you in the programme for this year’s event.

A Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/SERDMONACO , and the hashtag #EWWR Monaco will be used to bring together and highlight the actions taken in the Principality.
