Céline Caron-Dagioni, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, and Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, met with Leila Chikhaoui, Tunisian Minister of the Environment, and Leila Benali, Moroccan Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development.

These bilateral meetings, held on 19 March and 12 April, took place within the framework of Article 6 of the Paris Climate Agreement, ratified in 2016 by the Principality of Monaco, which allows States to enter into voluntary cooperation with other States to achieve their respective national climate objectives.

Tunisia and Morocco are long-standing partners with which the Principality has strong cooperation links. These talks provided an opportunity to discuss the environmental objectives of each country and to identify synergies between cooperation policies and climate policies.
