The Energy Transition White Paper
The Energy Transition White Paper represents the first stage in efforts to mobilise the Monegasque community. It seeks to bring together the perceptions, actions and expectations of stakeholders in the country in order to set out a shared road map which will take us to 2050.
Between August and December 2016, 59 organisations and nearly 90 individuals were interviewed. In January 2017, five collaborative workshops were organised in different sectors with a view to reaching a shared prognosis, identifying levers and prioritising actions to be implemented. The challenges and areas for action identified by participants are presented in the Energy Transition White Paper, which was published on 23 March 2017.
5-year review of the White Paper on Energy Transition
On 9th May 2022, the Mission for Energy Transition organised a seminar to present an assessment of the actions carried out in the 5 years since the publication of the White Paper, as well as actions underway and planned by the Monaco Government.
Introduced by Government Minister Céline CARON-DAGIONI, the seminar also included the organisation of 4 parallel workshops to gather ideas for further action to help Monaco achieve its objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and 2050. Key players in the following areas were invited to attend: sustainable economy, sustainable health, sustainable neighbourhoods, sustainable buildings, etc.
You can find below the dedicated publication summarising the 5-year review of the White Paper and the ideas gathered during the workshops. Thank you to all the participants.
