Actions of the Pact for small entities without premises
This sector is dedicated to small entities without premises (companies, associations), working from home or in shared workspaces (business centres, coworking spaces, offices rented within a company, etc.).
Actions for Mobility
Mandatory actions
- I systematically favour active modes of transport such as walking or cycling (electric or otherwise).
- For local and short-distance journeys, I choose public transport
- I prefer videoconferencing meetings to limit travel
- I encourage my stakeholders (internal and/or external) to favour sustainable mobility solutions
- I inform my customers and suppliers of the low-carbon transport solutions available to them to get to our meetings
- For business travel, I favour low-carbon alternatives, such as the train rather than the plane, whenever possible
Voluntary actions
- Teleworking is part of my organisation
- I group my activities together and plan my journeys to limit the number of unnecessary return trips.
- If I have to come by car, I opt for an electric vehicle and I park in the car parks at the entrance to the town (e.g. Parking des Salines).
- If I have to travel by car, I opt for car-sharing using the BlaBlaCar Daily application.
- I choose meeting places that are easily accessible by public transport to make it easier for my stakeholders to get around
- I invest in an annual subscription for a soft mobility mode to encourage its regular use
- I work with other entities to set up shared mobility initiatives (pooling of parking spaces and/or vehicle fleet, inter-entity carpooling, shared recharging stations, etc.).
Actions for Waste
Mandatory actions
- I sort my waste
- I maintain my equipment regularly and replace it only when necessary in order to extend its lifespan
- I prefer to use a water bottle, cutlery, cups and reusable containers, both in the office and outdoors
- I dematerialise documentation
- I limit paper printing and, when printing is necessary, I use recycled paper for my printed documents wherever possible
- I prefer to repair my equipment whenever possible, rather than replace it
- I reduce my purchases to the bare essentials
Voluntary actions
- If waste sorting is not in place at my workplace, I ask the premises manager to do something about it.
- For takeaways, I bring my own container or I use MyConsigne
- I prefer to buy second-hand furniture and reconditioned equipment
- I'm committed to a circular economy approach by donating or selling objects I no longer need or by recycling those that have reached the end of their useful life, in order to encourage their reuse rather than throwing them away.
- Whenever necessary, I use eco-responsible and reusable that are eco-responsible and reusable, with no space-time references, to encourage their reuse
- I minimise the packaging I receive by asking my suppliers to give preference to reusable packaging
Actions for Energy
Mandatory actions
- I switch off lights when I leave a room or when there is enough natural light
- I switch off electrical appliances and their standby power at night and at weekends
- I close the windows when the heating or air conditioning is on
- If I have to replace my equipment, I prefer low-energy consumption equipment
- I ask the premises manager to set energy-saving temperature limits (19°C in winter / 26°C in summer)
Voluntary actions
- I prefer to use Wi-Fi rather than 4G/5G
- I send attachments with a download link, clean my inbox regularly and reduce the number of recipients
- During video conferences, I deactivate the camera if it is not essential
- I adjust the room temperature using thermostats where available
- I use power strips with switches to turn off several appliances at once without having to unplug them manually
- I raise awareness of energy eco-actions among the premises manager, my customers and suppliers
- Where possible, I design my workspace to maximise the use of natural light
Actions for Multiple impacts
Mandatory actions
- I give preference to local businesses when buying goods, equipment and services
Voluntary actions
- I encourage my Monegasque customers and suppliers to join the National Pact, and for those located outside Monaco, I request information on their environmental initiatives.
- I take environmental criteria into account when making purchases
- I reduce the environmental impact of the goods and/or services I offer to my customers
- I challenge my suppliers and service providers to take into account the environmental impact of the products and services they offer
